CHILDREN’S PYJAMAS CAN PUT THEM TO SLEEP

Are we more concerned with what is in our children’s cupboards than what’s in our own .  Designer gear, brand-name shoes, whole outfits featuring the latest cartoon or movie characters….the list goes on.  But while we are very focused on their day wear, do we pay as much attention to what our kids go to sleep in ?

Over 40 per cent of a child’s early life is spent asleep, according to experts.According to research, there is also a clear link between children’s sleep and their mental and physical development. We need to stop and think before we accede to our children’s demands for the latest sleepwear trends or dash into a department store for a rushed purchase?

While most parents have their children’s best interests at heart, sometimes we need reminding about the important things, like making sure our children wear the right sleepwear.Childen’s skin is much more sensitive than adults, and can often have an adverse reaction to fabrics that aren’t natural, such as polyester and nylon, which stimulate sweating and don’t allow the skin to breathe.  The rough texture of some fabrics can also cause rashes and itching.

100% cotton is proven to be the most ideal material for sensitive skin. It’s cool in the summertime and cosy when the temperature drops, but whatever the season, cotton is always breathable and healthy.Midsummernight’s Dream only uses 100% pure cotton from India, which is why their children’s sleepwear is the ideal solution for a uninterrupted night.

Liz Collins has been designing and retailing French-inspired sleepwear for adults and children from her Perth shop and website for over 10 years and says her customers provide the best research sample.”All my customers tell me they sleep soundly when they’re wearing our pure cotton sleepwear, probably because the nighties and pyjamas have been cut a bit wider for ease of movement and French-seamed so there are no scratchy edges.”

She applies the same design and manufacturing philosophy to her children’s range, which includes beautifully hand embroidered winter and summer styles, pyjamas and dresses as well as sleepwear for babies.”Our cotton is sourced in India and is the finest quality available, and can be worn by anyone even with the most sensitive skin.An added bonus is that cotton remains soft and comfy even with repeated washing, and it also dries very quickly which, as every mother knows, is essential with kids around,” she said.

With allergies on the increase, we should be looking at giving ourselves and our families the best chance at stopping these in their tracks, and one way is to wrap ourselves and our families in pure cotton sleepwear to ensure a healthy kickstart to the day from a good night’s rest.
