Making that Unique Present (Even Tasteless Ones) Work for Someone!

Think of all the junk you’ve received (and given).  Don’t you wish there was a better way?  There really is a simple answer to all this gift giving business.  If you want the easy way out consider giving Coffee Gift Baskets.

In this day and age we’re lucky if we get a fruit cake, don’t count on getting gift baskets.  That’s the reason for my gift to you.

Anyone has been given a gift that is just-not-what-you-had-in-mind.  You can give it to charity, or post it on www.freecycle.com where everything donated is free to users.  You might bury the unwanted gift in a box where you will hopefully never run into it again.  Whatever you do don’t dispose of the item.

Then, there is re-gifting, a risky and often unpleasant practice.  Regifting is usually never a acceptable custom.  Most importantly if the person that gave you the gift finds out.  There are a number of ways to make use of your gift, without the awkward and blatant re-wrapping and passing along.

1.  Make a “Gift Box.”  Be sure to mark the item with whom it is from.

2. Place gifts that are of no use to you in the treasure chest.

3. It is wise to categorize all the items and place them together.

4. To give a “re-gifted” treasure, make sure you have at least 3 similar items.  Let’s say movies.  Take the DVDs, and place them in a gift bag with a bow. You can add to the theme of the gift by including popcorn.  If you are giving the movies to an adult or family, put in a homemade gift certificate for one night of free babysitting (if they have kids).  Regifting, if done properly, can be personal and inexpensive.  Make sure that you are not giving the gift back to the person that gave it to you.

Now you know what to do with all those unwanted hunks of utter shiznittle you have gathered through the years.

If you want to give a gift that someone really wants I suggest giving custom Gift Baskets.  They have plenty of them at Nectar of Life Coffee.
